The Kingdom of Magic...

OK... a bit overdue since we got back from our Disney Trip on Valentine's Day...but i'll try to catch up on the fun we had...
Once arriving in Florida we were well taken care of by the Disney Crew and stayed at the great Port Orleans French Quarter and was shuttled around ... I must say that we were all VERY impressed with how Disney does things...
Our first day was at the classic Magic Kingdom... and we had a great day!!  Saw the amazing sights and enjoyed the warmth and the short lines!!!  We hit almost all of the rides we were hoping to and a few more than once!!!!

the Classic Picture in front of the Magic Kindom... the crane on the right was loading up the tower for the Wishes Fireworks Show that happens every night...

rode Space Mountain twice today.... and made sure that we had good faces for the cameras on the second pass!!!

me... the kids... and my 2 favorite Red Heads...

Tinker Bell stopped by to say Hello...

A kiss goodbye after the fireworks before our first late night in the park...

Daddy escaped!!!!

So I was allowed to go on a Solo Holiday this year... Down to Tucson Arizona with a good friend (Steve) for a week of training. We stayed at his inlaws place and had a great time..... as good of a time as you can have while still missing your family!!!
The house was amazing... The weather was fantastic... The riding was superb... And Fun was abound....
Sunrise to wake us up for breakfast...
Scenery that needs to be seen in person... Pics don't do it justice...
Endless roads...
Making our way up Mt Lemmon... Almost 8000ft of vertical in less than 2hrs...
But I had one of These Days... Lower body is just as bad...  Came out of my pedal doing a sprint and met the pavement... At least the trip was almost finished!!!
The Cadillac Marguaritas worked better than the Percocet the doc gave me!!
Steve and I have been planning this to trip for years and I was very glad that
we made it happen. Sad to go back to the snow...

Unleash the Beast...

So I was welcomed back from the Sunny south to a freak snowstorm and a slow drive to Newmarket for Jake's hockey tournament.  He has been looking forward to it, and we had a slow start with some of our players showing up late with the slow driving.  All went well though - they had fun being part of the "Opening Ceremonies" when playing the host team Newmarket... and made it to the B Finals.

Fun to see the Bagpippers and Mayor out to support the event... although Jake was secretly hoping someone would slip and fall on the ice to make it more entertaining...

Getting on the ice before the B Final (basically the Bronze Medal Match) where they laid down a Smack!!!  Solid D, great forward pressure and only 2 shots on our net lead to an 8-0 win.  Have to feel sorry for the other team though... they only had 2 extra skaters on the bench and we did our best to wear them down.... No Mercy!!!
A good lead up to the Championship Weekend for his regular Houseleague Division...
